This page lists the various Competition Disciplines run by the NASRPC in Centrefire Pistol
(WA1500 Details are also centrefire pistol, however, they are covered on the WA1500 page)
For all competitions the firearm must be a Pistol or Revolver chambered in ammunition with a minimum calibre of .354". Common calibres include 9mm, .357, .38, .40 and .45.
Wad cutter and Hollow point ammunition is allowed, provided the host range allows it. For example neither will be allowed on indoor ranges where splash curtains can be damaged by this type of ammunition.
Many of these disciplines call for the firearm to be drawn from the holster following the start signal. Holsters must be attached to the belt, must cover the trigger guard of the firearm in its entirety and hold the firearm securely.
Drop leg holsters are NOT permitted unless required for medical reasons. Shoulder and cross draw Holsters are prohibited.

If the detail calls for the use of a holster ensure that you only uncase and case your firearm in the designated safe areas. At not other time should you ever remove your firearm from it's holster unless directed to do so by a range or safety officer.
You must NEVER arrive or leave a range with a firearm in a holster.
